Will I Ever Feel Well Again????

Hi There,

It has been 2 years now since my Total Thyroidectomy and feel so ill. It seems that the consultant cannot get my medication right. I am currently on 275 Levothyroxine T4,  20 Liothyronine T3.
I feel do desperately depressed, have gained almost 28lb in weight, have constant fatigue/exhaustion and also suffer with
daily headaches
joint and muscle ache
lactation
night sweats
feelings of cold in the day
constipation
poor memory and concentration
low motivation levels
the list goes on........
I would be so grateful if any one with a similar experience could contact me
maybe you could give me some advice?
I just feel that there is an underlying problem that hasn't been identified!
Hope you are all well and have a great Christmas
Cath

did you ever get your test results and find out about your pituitary? I have been on thyroid for 28 years now. I have never felt great. I think all my endocrine system is messed up.

Thanks for your thoughts, its something that I had considered.....I asked my consultant and I think he is trying all other tests before he gives me an MRI....its an issue with cost with the NHS here....Hopefully they will get to the bottom of it soon, I will mention the chance of having a piuitary tumor next week and we'll see what that brings
Have a great Christmas

Hi there. I am 2 years post TT too and am still struggling with getting my meds right.
I suspect if you are having lactation that you have a pituitary tumour. These are always NON-cancerous. It could account for your other symptoms too.
It might be wise to ask them to check that out for you.
