Can someone help me?

I'm wondering whats going on with me and no one seems to have an answer. Every time Ive gone to whatever dr. Ive had at the time, they always feel my thyroid and have it tested because its large. What ever test they do always comes back fine. 3 Yrs ago, I started getting hives, now ive been diagnosed with eurticaria. Last year my legs starting pretty much ...going out.  I cant stand for long periods of time, sometimes I get joint pain and all my bones crack constantly. I had knee surgery for a torn menisucus which just seemed to "happen" and during the surgery the dr found a arthritic bone spur which he had to shave down. He said it was strange because I was so young. (i was 28 at the time.) My legs always feel like Ive run a marathon and I have absolutely no energy. Im so frustrated! I ve even had one Dr. comment to another that I always seem to have some strange "supposed symptom". My hair seems like its dead and falling out, and I have gotten these horrible looking "dry skin patches" on either sides of my inside thighs. Im on adderall right now for ADHD (i have no memory either) and it seems to give a little energy but makes my muscles strain even more.
Any ideas???

Ive been on adderall for 6 months now, cna that effect my TSH and other lab levels? I mean its contra-indicated for people with hyperthyroid, so wouldnt it raise levels if your hypo?

UPDATE, well endo says the nodules are too small to biopsy (complex nodule is largest at 3mm) so do nothing, and we'll see if they get bigger. After 6 months we'll do another ultrasound. About the goiter, live with it.
She agreed yes, urticaria (chronic hives) means i have an autoimmune disease. but becasue my blood work is normal, my thyroid is fine....I AM NOT OK WITH THIS! Even after glancing at my page long list of symptoms, they apparently dont matter. Ive had it, I told her off and went home. Off to the rheumatologist. Am i doing something wrong here? I just dont get how they can say everythings fine. between the nodules, the goiter, the chronic hives for three years...will anyone help me!?!

UPDATE when i asked my dr for my t3 and t4 levels, I found out that they never tested them! they only tested my TSH= .74 my antibodies <20 and my antithyroid peroxidase <10. from readings ive learned that if you have an autoimmune attack going on (which ive had for 3 yrs now-chronic hives) it makes your labs useless since you vascillate between hypo and hyper...so the list of symptoms goes on and on, even complex nodules findings on my thyroid but STILL they're telling me my thyroids fine because my blood work is normal. Very frustrating to say the least. my endo appointment is tomorrow, ill keep everyone posted.

I would suggest taking a multivatimin for the foot pain. Make sure you are drinking large amounts of water. What were your results, grr I hate when they slam the door and tell you your fine:) Call back and demand the levels and what your range is. Let us know.

Once you get the ultrasound done, they will probably start you on medication.  Depending on Hyper T or Hypo T.  You should feel much better once on meds.  Even just a low dose can help symptoms.

UPDATE All ab results are normal, but after pushing my doctor for more tests, an ultrasound revealed 2 nodules and goiter. I see endocroniology on Wed. She commented on how not to worry because my blood work is fine, and I commented right back! Ive had eurticaria for 3 years!, Im exhausted, my joints are all cracking, my back is killing me, my mood swings are ferocious and my periods literally knock me out! I obviously have many symptoms, how can i not worry just because the blood results are "normal". This IS affecting me...*sigh*...im very frustrated, and now scared.

Suggesting you have thorough hormone testing too. You need a very sweeping evaluation.

Ask for a copy of the bloodwork.  A lot of docs still use old lab reference ranges.  Post the test results here and the posters here will weigh in.

Well, I called my doctor today and left a message that I wanted more blood work done. I specifically told the secretary to test for anit bodies of my thyroid. I stopped taking my claritin just in case it would affect anything and of course my hives are slowly coming back, not unbearable yet though. Im waiting for the dreaded swollen patches on the bottom of  my feet. They always feel really weird. Im starting to get more nervous though becasue it seems like my bones are just going to "snap" at any time. The sound is awful. Im not giving up on this though...I refuse to just live with "well we dont know why you have the hives with swelling and low grade fever."
Thank you so much guys for the support! Im not going to let them make me think theres nothing wrong. Ill keep you posted! Thanks again!

your symptoms really sound like you are hypo. if you haven't done the before, give it a shot:
1. ask your dr. to test thyroid anti-body, if you have anti-body, your blood result may look fine, but you can be hypo
2. ask your dr. to test your Vit D level.
3. start to measure your basal temp.(i heard this from any friend here, you should be able to find that thread), if you are constantly lower than 97.8, another evidence that you maybe be hypo.
4. start to take some Vit D, Vit B and Calcium, it will not hurt you. maybe hypo patients have Vit D deficiency, and that can cause the muscle weakness, knee problem and tingling feeling all over your body, especially your feet.

I am not a doctor, a patient myself, i learn a lot of things through this community, they seem to be more knowledgeable than my doctor!!

good luck and keep us posted.

Supposed symptoms line....I think many have heard too. My grandmother was diagnosed with hypothyroidism about a year ago.  She said every year her normal Dr. would test her, seemed she had the "supposed symptom" disorder also. This last time around he finally decided that although her test showed she was alright, he wanted to start her on a dosage of meds, well WHOLLA, she is doing much much better.......she only wishes they would have done this sooner........hang in there and maybe see a new Dr. to explain the situation?  Hang tough.
