Need Answers

I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism/ Graves.March,2009. I currently take methimazole for thyroid, also ( BP & betablocker meds. I am scheduled for thyroid uptake scan in three weeks.  Could someone please take a look at my lab(s) results and tell me what is going on? Also, If (T4) is not converting what does that mean? What makes this happen? Is this common? I am posting my last two lab test results again in hopes of getting answers. Thank you in advance!  Here they are: (Sept.16,2009)  (T4Ref.range (4.5-12.5)mcg/dl  3.6L) ,  FTI=( T UPTAKE x T4) /100 ESTIMATED REFERENCE RANGE BASED ON T4 AND THYROID UPTAKE REFERENCE RANGES IS (1.1- 4.4)  TSH Ref.Range (0.350-5.500)uim/ml)  TSH (0.267L)... Hi cbread thank you for your reply. Why does your doc. only test for T3 & TSH? Is staying on methimazole an option? What is your dosage per day? How do you feel? I ask this because as of right now I feel pretty good and I don't want to feel like I did when I was first diag.so, I'd rather stay where I'm at vs. RAI or TT. I 'm tring to figure this thyroid stuff out before I make a final decision on future treatment that I might regret.

My doctor only looks at my total T3 and my TSH to monitor my graves.  I have been on methimazole for almost three years. Your sept results look pretty good, but october with only the tsh to review looks hyper again. I can't answer the T4 thing.
