How long 'til my TSH comes down?

I've seen some of the posts about trying to conceive and hypothyroidism and I thought I'd add mine. Any help would be hugely appreciated!!

About  7 weeks ago I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism after my TSH came back at 110. My T3 and T4 were at the very low ends of normal. My husband and I have been TTC for about 6 months already...no luck! But with a TSH of 110, I guess that's no surprise, right?

Anyway, after 3 weeks on thyroxine, my TSH had dropped to 37. My doctor then doubled my dose of thyroxine (to 0.2), to help bring it down more. Do you think that it will take me a very long time to get my TSH levels to somewhere between 1 and 2? I had another blood test this morning, and I'll probably get the results on Thursday.

I know that may people have said it has taken them between 6 months and 1 year to regulate their TSH, but I'm hoping it doesn't take me that long!

How quickly did your TSH numbers go down? Did they start to drop quickly like mine and then taper off?

I'm SO SO SO depressed about this. I wish I could conceive. You should see my city...there must be something in the water. EVERYONE is pregnant....everyone but me. :(

Wow! Thanks so much for the note. It makes me feel amazing just to hear you say that it's a possibility that I might already be in the healthy range. Fingers crossed that you'll be right. I'll definitely let you know when I get the result...It's officially a bet!! (I'm pessimistic and think I'll be around 12 - 16).
We'll see! Thanks again so much for responding!

I'll bet when you get your results back you are at or below one.

That is a pretty stiff dose of medication. You will probably be back to 0.1mg by the end of the week.

I'm an entirely different situation as I'm on meds for cancer suppression but it took my past 60 (ish) TSH to go to .4 in like 6 weeks.

I should also note that, apart from infertility, I do not seem to have any symptoms of hypothyroidism, so it's hard for me to tell if I'm "getting better", based on how I feel.

Thank you SO much for any responses you can offer.
