any input on bowel movements for Graves' now with normal thyroid hormone?

Hello, sorry for the nature of this question... :) While getting my diagnosis for Graves' I did looking back realize I was getting very loose stool somewhere on the diarrhea spectrum for some months.  I ignored it as we recently made some diet changes with an increase in fiber and I thought that was the reason.

Now my thyroid levels are normal --"high normal"-- according to my Doctor and he said that might explain why even though my thyroid levels are normal,  the stool hasn't completely gone back to normal.  A part of me wonders if my "nerves" could be impacting it as well.  Anyone else notice this ?  I did wonder if it could be IBS or Celiac, but my Endocrinologist feels it probably is not. As an experiment I am going to go gluten free for the next week and see if I notice a more normal stool.

thanks for the input.  Actually, I was taking calcium/magnesium supplement, but my Endocrinologist said that I should only take the calcium, as magnesium can be a stool softner.  Calcium alone can of course cause constipation.  Thanks so much for your input.  I think I will take Calcium as I find the loose BM to be disconcerting.  Maybe the calcium alone will give me a happy medium.  I'm glad you've reached normalcy with this issue.

I don't have diarrhea anymore. Do you take calcium supplements? I was at a natural food store and the person working there said calcium helps with diarrhea and magnesium helps with constipation. I take both now bc I'm afraid of osteoporosis and my stools have been really normal.

Did the diarrhea etc... continue while your thyroid levels became normal?  I am 6 weeks on ptu and have acheived normal (high normal) thyroid function, and yet still the funny BMs continue.

My diarrhea and constipation was from thyroid. I thought my anxiety and diet was causing it but mine was all from being hyperthyroid.
