You know, I've never even made the connection but after reading this I wonder.  My doc decreased my Synthroid about 5 weeks ago from 137 to 125 and he increased my cytomel from 1/2 of a 5mg tablet to a whole 5.  And I pretty much have a migraine every other morning or so. I was thinking it was allergies but could it be the meds doing  something to my other hormones?  And it's bizarre because for the first time in my life I actually woke up in the middle of the night with the migraines and that's never happened before. Hmmm..

well meds - pursay - is not connected but the hormonal outline of them could bring one on

Here is scoop in a nutshell with T4...

With the conversion of the T4 medication is could require other hormones to get "active" most commonly estrogen  - and the estrogen could be elevated spiking those headaches.

I'd have her retested and see if she has optimal labs. I doubt she does if this is an issue and you may need to tweek her meds to control the estogen and thyroid to blend that better.

That was one of my biggest problems before I started on thyroid med.  Had them on a daily basis.  They stopped after I started on armour but synthroid didn't help the headaches.
