Your symptoms you are describing are very common in alot of hormone imbalance conditions. It would be best to find out with lab test to exactly see what's going on - you don't want to assume anything until a lab is done.
Get a TSH - free T3 and Free T4 done for thyroid levels. HAve your Vit B - ferritin and cortisol levels checked too. A male hormone panel may help too.
hi leanne it would probably be better if you posted this as a seperate question on this forum as there are a lot of very clever people who would be able to answer you better than me and they may not see it on here if you have the blood test results it would help to put them on too
good luck
hi there my friend notest this lump on the right side of my throat so the next week i seen my local doctor he organised for a ultrasound and bloodtest i had those done but the ultrsound came back saying the right lobe is in enlarged by a solid heterogenous nodule measuring 57 by 36 by 33mm there is also a 5mm hypoechoic nodule at the upper pole the right lobe is largely replaced by this solid nodule which is moderately vascular. plus i have on my left lobe has a normal appearance apart from a 4mm hypoechoic nodule in the mid pole. if there is anybody out there that can explain to me what it is so i can know wether its serious or what to expect when i see the surgion
hi your symptoms are consistant with hypothyroidism although with the hair loss it tends to be all over and thinning rather than a patch so that could possibly be MPB also check iron levels you may not be aneamic but levels should be mid range or over for hair loss. low iron can also give dry skin and tiredness you will need to be patient though even if you are diagnosed hypo it can take a long time to feel better. go see your doc soon and get the tests sorted good luck
Could be loosing hair due to Addisons Desease. You would also be noticing your skin colour more of a golden tan colour, and possible constipation and other vague symptoms. It is a desease that slowly creeps up on you.
It could also be low iron or low B12. Ask to have those levels checked as well. I am currently losing hair because of low ferratin.
Hair loss is a symptom of hypothyroidism but also MPB. In a lot of cases of hypo, the hair loss becomes much less when the TSH level is in range consistently for a period of time. After you get your tests done and determine if you do in fact have hypothyroidism, they will start you on meds.
