I should have asked, Have you been diagnosed having any thyroid disease?
or on any medication for thyroid issues?
We are not MD's here, just those with thyroid disease, you can try the "Doctor Forum" at the drop down menu under forums at the top of the page. To tell if it is your thyroid, it is located between your collar bone and the adams apple, it is butterfly shaped, You can try and see if it is swollen or enlarged by having a glass of water at hand, tilt the head back, and feel the location mentioned, take a sip of water and swallow while feeling with the other hand, you should be able to feel the thyroid and if it is swollen or enlarged, other possibilities would include strep throat, which would show up as white like blisters in the throat, or it could be swollen glands located at the back of your throat on each side. Sorry, but it is difficult to give advice since we are not MD's Good Luck FTB4
