want to know when my hypo thyroid becomes normal

hi, I am 29 yrs old female and a hypothyroid patient from last 2 years. I was taking thyroid medication of 50 mcg and recently my thyroid result is came out 5.2 (where in the range is 1.7-3.74). this clearly shows it is out of range and it has become more. so the doctor changed the dosage to 75 mcg. please can anyone let me know how many days do you think it needs to become in range, i mean within 3.74  thanks in advance

Hi dcarter,
Yeah, I heard it will take atleast 6 weeks to change the level as per the new medicine. my body temperature is always 98.3-98.6. It never went down or up. But I am not good enough to recognize my hypothyroid level as per the blood temperature. I am just worried a lot because I am on ttc from last one year. the other tests for hormones, ultrasound of uterus everything came out normal but only thyroid is affecting i guess. and my gynaecologist told to me to go to her once the thyroid level is normal. I m just worried.

Hi Goolarra, it was TSH

I can tell when I'm hypo or hyper based on symptoms but blood pressure, temperature, and heart rate changes also help me to know where I'm at within the range.  For example, being hyperthyroid will give an elevated systolic and a low diastolic reading while being hypothyroid can lower body temp and heart rate.

It takes quite a while for thyroid levels to change.

Which test had a result of 5.2?  Is that TSH?  FT3?  Please post any other test results that were also run (include reference ranges).

How do you feel?
