7 mos post op and neck muscles still strain!!!!!!

I was doing an exercise @ phys therapy to help strengthen my leg muscles, and abdomen muscles and my neck hurt the next day ...... I didn't put it together until it happened again ..... I am stretching these darn muscles in front of neck while leaning on this super huge rubber ball with my legs up and pulling torso into the air .. USING THE NECK MUSCLES!!!!

For a day or so I was worried my baby nodule had grown overnight and would massage the 1/2 thyroid I posess and then laughed inside when I realized it was from the rubber ball exercise!!!!!!

It doesn't go away does it ?  The unknown and what if's along with physical challenges all these months later!!!!!!

Look at it this way....its a constant reminder of what you have been through and SURVIVED!  A badge of courage so to speak.

Kudos for the hard work you have been doing with your therapy and excersises.

Right now for me.......excersise is something I watch OTHER people do on tv. LOL

I'm so glad you posted about this.........I would have never put the 2 together, and now understand the pain in my neck isn't totally from my sons!!!

Hahahhaaaaaa!!!  Your comment "would massage the 1/2 thyroid I posess" cracked me up!!!  It never ceases to amaze me when I exercise, the muscles that show up that I never thought I had.  Ones that I didn't even think I was using!!  I'm really glad to hear that it's just from exercise, though.  You don't need one more thing to worry about!!!
