Hi I have had a goitre for 20+ years, I had a scan then, and they were going to operate ,but I decided against it, it doesn't, give me any problems .except I am very conscious of it ,as it has got quite big now, and I have to wear high necks to cover it, can you give me any advice please ,thanking you, neesjen

Are you taking any thyroid hormone replacement medication?  Sometimes that will help shrink a goiter.  

Do you have Hashimoto's?  

You can still have it removed, if your doctor will agree to do so.
