five doses of methimazole

Should I feel any relief yet after five doses of methimazole 10 mg tablet twice a day.  Still have the shakes.

Yesterday I didnt feel to bad except for the shakes.  Now today I feel shaky and nausea. And my eyes are so tired and blurry   a little hard to focus, but the day must go on.

I actually got worse the first week as I think my body was fighting the medication or something...but it does get better. I tell everyone this is a disease of patience and when you have hyper symptoms it's the last thing you have.  It took me close to six months to actually feel ok on the methim, but everyday does get a little better. You'll get there.

Okay... what kind of dietary and lifestyle changes?

I'd give it a few weeks (that's what it took for me). You should be better pretty soon but remember that it's not just pills that help - you need to make some dietary changes, too. Eventually, with your medication, a good attitude, and dietary and lifestyle changes you'll be back to your "old self" again!

Give it a few more days. You should start feeling better.

I'm not sure how long you need to take it before tests will show if it is the correct dose. I think it's around a month, but I don't remember for certain.

Anybody know?
