ty all i have always felt i had something wrong woth the pms anxiety depression and heavy mentrual bleeding episodes.I guess this is the answer .Ty all for relies!
It's clearly obvious that your thyroid funtion isn't completely normal due to the symptoms and i am surprised that your doctor didnot prescribe med's to atleast alleviate the symptoms.
As far as the nodule, no, it won't disappear and it should be monitored every 3-6mos to monitor size increase and growth of other nodules.
I recommend that you seek a second opinion and take it from there.
God Bless You!
ty for reply.I was thinking six months too 3 makes it seem scary or something and it did have a perfect halo lit up he showed me it.I am thinking about seeing an ent and having removed.I have a small complex one on the right side he didn't biopsy. They gave me no meds at all
To answer your question, even if they can shrink them the nodules will not go away, they could eventually become cancerous, so they need to monitor them for changes and/or growth. I haven't heard of 3 month US, I believe 6 months is fine for repeat ultrasound. The vascular halo means there is blood flow around the nodule, if the nodule becomes hyper-vascular, meaning the blood flow is all through the nodule, it could mean trouble (cancer needs a blood supply), that is why they need to monitor you. Maybe the vascular halo is why they want to see you in 3 months.
MY thyroid levels were T3 3.6
T-4 .84

What are you taking for Hashimoto's? Any thyroid hormones? Have you tried giving up gluten, especially since you have the stomach issues. New research indicates a strong connection between gluten and Hashimoto's. Gluten wears down the lining of the gut, then seeps into the bloodstream. Thyroid antibodies attack the gluten. Because gluten resembles the molecular structure of the thyroid gland, the antibodies eventually attack the thyroid. Please read my journal. See how well I feel since giving up gluten. I've also given up soy, which has been proven to bind to thyroid hormone and flush it out of our system. Soy can also alter our female hormones. I've given up dairy, for now, and will wait a few months to see if I can tolerate it. I also had to give up all corn, except blue corn. Bottom line, is that many of us are not just 'thyroid' patients. We got in this mess for a reason. Many of us have food sensitivities that either caused or worsen the problem. Since you already have diverticulitis, I highly suggest being more aware of what you are eating.
Get your FT4 and FT3 bloodwork as soon as you can and then post results here. You may also need thyroid hormone pills.
This website lists endos recommended by their patients. Make sure the endo treats both FT3 and FT4 levels and is willing to prescribe T3 meds if needed.

i have ahad a multitude of health complaints in this past year including depresion ,fatigue, heavy menstrual and anemia i got 2 pints of blood.Diverticulosis and had diverticulitis.I have severe pms symptoms.I have the brain fog alot and feel like i have add at times i have several tasks going at once .I recently hurt my neck and have been in spasms in neck and shoulder since feb. That is how this mass appeared on mri.I can feel it sometimes when i swallow.I didn't know i had a thyroid issue till now.The other side has inhomegeinity to the tissue and a small nodul .The dr said it was from Hashimotos Disease.
Any thyroid symptoms? Any health complaints? Thyroid hormone will affect EVERY part of our bodies. A 2.6 cm nodule is getting up there in size. Definitely keep an eye on this. Thyroid hormone will shrink nodules.
What are your current FT3, FT4 and TSH levels?
Do you have Hashimoto's or Graves? TGab and TPOab tests will determine Hashi and TSI for Graves.
