Thanks so much for you input. I do feel like I have to really relay to the Dr. just how bad I feel and I need him to start treating me soon. Thanks again.
He also said weight loss or weight in general has nothing to do with the thyroid. I personally disagree with this 100%!

Yes your symptoms are common - I can't tell you what more to expect since everyone experience different things. I can advise to write in a journal daily on how you feel and what you are feeling. This was you accomplish two things. You can tract your symptoms for the long haul after RAI and you can communicate to your doctor appropriately how you feel at every blood draw.
Good Luck on 2/25. and I am positive you will be on a thyroid med on Monday to start you out on getting this under control.
Make sure as AR said - don't let them tell you 6 months every 4 to six weeks at the most for every blood draw.
I'm sitting here after RAI waiting for my thyroid to die.
I'm getting bloodwork every week or two for the next few months.
You need blood work every month or six weeks for the next year or so. The thyroid will slowly reduce it's output, and your med dosage will change to keep up as the thyroid dies.
It will take a while to stabilize your hormones at the correct level. It sounds like you may be ready to start taking meds now.
Just don't let the doctor tell you to come back in six months. You need more frequent monitoring until you get leveled out.
Hope you feel better soon.
I had an apt 2 months ago and my numbers were still considered hyper. He put me on a beta blocker for the high blood pressure and something else to calm my body down/. I stopped taking the one for the body calming as i thought it was adding to the weight gain.
I apt is Monday February 25th and I draw the blood for him to see the results before I get to him.
I do think he waited too long in between visits as it does seem like hell.
Is the numb hands and mud walking feeling part of the symptons? What else should I expect to happen?

Sound you are at the hypo he// now! When are you going for tests. Protocal is 6 weeks after RAI. Why the wait?
Are you one no meds now?
