First of all what kind of Arthritis does she have. Have you gotten a 2nd opinion from another Doctor - and the Doctor that you went to do they Specialize in this field. There are many alternatives to taking meds the rest of your life. I recommend that she get a 2nd opinion from perhaps a Rheumatologist. Good luck.
