So sorry you're having difficulty. Have you considered taking a pre-natal vitamin with omega 3 fatty acids? I take OptiNate prenatal to improve my nutritional status prior to conceiving. It has essential fatty acids from a vegetarian source, which have been shown to help with conception. Just a thought. Also, is your Vit D low? Mine was low and supplement with Vit D has also helped.
i am not currently taking pre-nates, as several different brands left me with me with indigestion. i will look into optinate, as i am vegetarian.
have you any experience with evening primrose or borage oil? my health food store carries a omega 3 fa with a choice of those oils. i've been told evening primrose regulates hormones, whereas borage does not.
yes, my vit d is borderline low. pls note typo above - it is actually 23.1. i will add to my diet either as d3 or multivite.
thank you for suggestions.
you say supplementation help you. what is your story?
My husband and I have just started trying to conceive. We don't actually know that we have a problem but there is a possibility because I have been off birth control for a couple of years and I never got pregnant. However, we weren't officially trying (we weren't tracking ovulation) during that time.
By helping I only mean that since I started taking the pre-nate I feel good. I was anemic and felt bad before I started supplementing. Now, I feel really good. I am also vegetarian. I think (and I am told) that nutritional status plays a big part in conceiving. My goal is to improve my nutrition and things will happen as they should (hopefully). If not, we'll investigate further.
I don't have any experience with primrose or borage. I'm not exactly sure what OptinNate uses as it's vegetarian source of Omega 3 (DHA????). Here is a link to their web site if you want to investigate more:
