I was just diagnosed as having hypothyroid, was given the conventional thyroid hormone ( I will not take this until I find the root of the problem) also I have tmj, I did a lot of research and found that thyroid dysfunction and Adrenal exhaustion (caused by stressors) lead to tmj (jaw clenching) causing severe head aches, jaw muscles aches, blocked ears, ringing in ears and all this may be connected to the thyroid. My advice is to go see an intergrated holistic doctor for a proper examination and consider alternative medication because doctors (conventional) will just keep increasing your dose . My friend is up to 125mg a day and she's never going to get better. I feel after all my research and reading, that Iodine deficiency is the main cause. I found that vegetable oils, soy are iodine blockers which is needed for the proper function of thyroid. I also found out that bromine (found in breads) deplete the iodine in your thyroid. Please please do some research. YOU WILL be amazed at what you will find.
