insomnia

I have had insomnia for over 2 years now.  I wake up all night long, just about like clock work. Sometimes with a startle reflex.

I believe it is related to my hypothyroidism and maybe the adrenal fatigue.. I have not found a med to help with this. Even had some drs tell me, it would not resolve until the thyroid was undercontrol.

Does anyone else have this problem, or is it just me?

I'm not sure how long I will get to take it, but I have taken Lunesta for several years.
See the Endo today and that might end.  I got a good nights sleep on the Lunesta.

Good morning.

no, I checked into that and several of them are adaptagens that help the body relax.

My GYN started me on estrace, even though numbers were normal to see if this would help. Has caused night sweats, instead of helping. I am trying to get off after one month, and it is not easy.

I have tried the magnesium. NOTHING seems to help. Between the thyroid and the adrenals and severe insomnia, I feel like a slug. No motivation, or interest. I am unable to work at this point. Need to, but can't. My memory is so bad, its embarassing.

My appt with my new endo is this coming tuesday. I am hoping this will be just the right one. If not, I have a back up appt for another one in Sept.

I had thought of seeing a chiropractor to see if they could help.

Morning!!

Sorry you are posting this - I was hoping it was starting to go away.

Would it be possible in your opinion that maybe the supplements and herbs you are taking might be stimulating your body too much and that may be contributing to your insominia along with the Hypothyroidism?

I remember you posting to me a long list of things you are doing each day with herbs and supplements.

Could this be your interference?
