is goiter and mass the same thing?

Is a thyroid goiter and mass the same thing?   Would the TSH result be normal with a goiter and or mass?  Would
a person feel fatigue with this mass/goiter?  What is the recovery period if it is removed?

I would not recommend that site to anyone.
If you want madness, go there.

a goiter and a mass are two different things. A goiter is external and a mass is internal.

People with goiters and masses often have abnormal thyroid hormone levels.

If surgery is required the recovery time is fairly short. If the portion removed is cancerous, then treatment changes, but recovery from thyroid surgery is a week or two.

I am still trying to recover after I had a mass on the left side about 4.0 cm TT after that was RAI 131 because of cancer but not having a TT was and is the worst part of this whole joy ride. I have found many groups that really worn against having  your thyroid removed rather try things like Iodine specific treatments. Detox because usally its toxins that gives you a goiter/mass.  I would goto Stopthethyroidmaddness.com and search the web as you have found this place for all the information you can get. Also it will help you to see a nutritionist you need to educate yourself completly. I wish I had done that but best of luck and let me know.
