Most definitely. I was increased from 50 mcg. to 100 mcg. and my blood pressure went nuts. I also started having the chest pain, shakiness, headaches, anxiety, etc. Basically I went from hypo to hyper. I'm back on 50 now and still exercising and losing weight and now the 50 is starting to make me hyper as well. Going to call my endo back next week and see what to do. Good luck.
That's a shame your endo is eliminating the FT3. If you look at those labs above.... the higher TSH is indicating hypo - low signal from pit to ask thyroid to pump needed FT4 and FT3. but taking the FT4 lab - that looks pretty good as a conversion
what does the FT4 convert too? - That's the FT3. and not seeing that on here and knowing if its high - which I think it could be then upping your medication w/out that lab based soley on this endo looking at the TSH - that increase could be sprialing yo hyper - as that FT3 lab would be your best indicator - not the TSH
I'd call them... tell them about the hyper episode - tell them you are going back down to the .75 dosage and demand better labs next time... You won't be able to test again now for at least 4 weeks since the conversion off the T4 meds need to release from the increase so testing early may be useless some.
shotty / ignorant advice from them - "you're just a # with care". Get the right labs from him or move on and find better care
Forgot to put lab info. Last Labs before increase to 88 mcg were as follows:
FT4 1.36 (.82-1.77)
TSH 2.430 (.450-4.500)
Endo no longer orders FT3!
Prior TSH one month before was 6.75.
