low T4 low white blood cell count 15 yr old

Hi, My son is 15yrs and had blood work done that showed low white blood cell, low granulocytes and low T4.  It has been repeated 3 times in 3 months with the same findings.  The doctor did the blood work trying to find a cause for an extreme case of hives that lasted for 3 weeks.  He took prednisone and zyrtec and benadryl to get it under control but has been off all meds since 1 month prior to all blood work.  The allergist has been unable to find a cause for the hives.  He has a history of seasonal allergies and some sinus infections.  Can you give me some insight as to a cause for the low white blood cells and low T4?  He has not been sick recently.

Thanks

All they tested was TSH (normal) and the T4 but not free T4.  The allergist wanted to keep repeating it because she thought it would correct itself but now she wants us to follow up with our pediatrician.

How about free T4, free T3 and TSH? can you give the values? Did you go to the PED?
