so! can you get that swollen full feeling in the throat/ thyroid area,

...in both hyper and hypo?
and can goitre form in both hyper and hypo?

very mild chest pain occasionally
bit of sharp pin-like pain in thyroid area occasionally

I have lost my voice for 6 months. a few quiet words a day.
swollen feeling in thyroid area.
I wonder if it was from the selenium supplements.
only recently (2 weeks ago) became noticeably uncomfortable.
I get labs back next week.
'subclinical hyperthyroid' 4 months ago.
endo wanted to do technetium scan, which I would have liked, but he said get off the neomercazole for a month beforehand. this was going to be too uncomfortable for me.
I was on a low dose anyway - 1mg less than daily.
anyway, i'll get the results here next week. thank you.
in the meantime - how do I REDUCE/ PREVENT further swelling?
thirsty and very dry throat from afternoon and in middle of night, despite sufficient water.
heartrate around 70bpm

Yes, goiter can form in either/both hyper and hypo.  A goiter is simply a swollen, inflamed thyroid gland.
