mouth ulcers

are mouth ulcers caused by your autoimune system,after all your system is attacking the inside of your mouth,for as long as i can remember i have suffered with mouth ulcers,i have tried all sorts of meds but none work for any length of time,almost three weeks ago i was told i had a underactive thyroid,

thank you for your answer, not quite sure as yet as to hashimoto's,ive only had this for three weeks, first two weeks i was on 50mg levothyroxine ,then third week was told to go on 75mg,im having another blood test at the end of the month on the 31'st, i shall ask then,as to what ive got
it was only in feb this year i found out i was h c v,i just about get used to that ,then this one lands in my lap,

Do you have Hashimoto's? Anything is possible when you have that. Make sure your Dr tests you for that.
I would also think about a possible food allergy or from acidic foods?
