What should I do

I have multinodular goiter that my gp says is nothing.  I have had hasimoto's for over 8 years (I'm 37) with no goiter growth in that time until this year. I had a sonogram when I was first diagnosed.  I went in at the first of the year to get a different script filled and they did my blood work and upped by does of synthroid from .125 to .150 not a big deal, but now just 3 mos. later I have been upped to .175  I have never gone up so fast and with this growth, I am questing if I should see someone else like an endo.  All my gp did was blood work and a sonogram.  I think I need a FNB to make sure that everything is alright.  Any advice would be very helpful.

When you get your results, post them if you'd like, and members will help you interpret them.  When posting bloodwork results, please include ranges from your lab report as these are specific to each lab.

Were you having any hypo symptoms when they raised your meds?  Many of us with Hashi's have multinodular goiter...usually when your meds dose is appropriate, the goiter growth is checked.

It's always a good idea to get a second opinion.  Best of luck with both your appointments...

I don't have any infomation from the gp yet.  I have an appoinment with her May 3rd to get all of that information to me.  I am going to see an endo in June just to make sure everything is alright.  I am a little concrened that my meds keep going up.  Thanks for the info.  I am new here and I have had this for over 8 years, I just haven't ever gotten the education that I need to know what all the numbers mean.

Usually if everything looks okay on the sonogram they do not do FNB.  I would definitely get the results of the sonogram and request to see an endo for a second opinion.

Do you have the results of your most recent bloodwork, FT3 and FT4 (and their reference ranges) and TSH?  Whether or not you need an FNA depends to some extent on the results of the ultrasound.  Have you seen the report?  Your doctor mustprovide you will results and reports of all tests upon request.
