need more blood work

Ok, my FNA showed lymphocytic thyroiditis...below said benign follicular cells with lymphocytes.  I thought this would be the end of the testing.  My doctor callled and said since it had gotten bigger in the 4 wkks 3.3 cm to 4.1 cm she wanted to do a sed rate and tumor marker I think CEA.   What does this all mean.......
She never has mentioned removal yet.......does anyone know what these test are looking for...

Thanks,
Cheyne

Are you having a hard time breathing or getting food stuck in your throat?Cause as fast as that thing is growing I would consider getting it out.I think those FNA's are unreliable too.Alot of us had fnas that said everything was ok then when they took out the thyroid that is when  they found the cancer. That is what happened to me.I am glad I went with my gut instict and had them take the thing out.
Keep me posted .

Hi,
I do not have any problems breathing etc, in fact, I really do not feel a thing.  The lump in my neck , however, is definitly visible.
I really do not know what to do.  I do not understand what these new blood tests are for.  The doctor has never said a thing about removal.  We just seem to be going from one test to another.
ANyway, I will keep you posted.
How is it going with your RAI?  Are you waiting for your endo to get back from vacation still?  Good luck, I have been thinking of you.
