Back from follow up with surgeon

I just got back from my surgeon appt to remove my stitches (ouch! - dont ever let anyone tell you that taking out stitches doesnt hurt!).  I also received the pathology results for the completion thyroidectomy.

They read:

Completion (right) thyroidectomy - negative for residual malignancy

Yippee!  No cancer in the other side - thank God!

I have to continue my calcium and vitamin D therapy for a few more weeks - hopefully the low calcium tingles will be gone by then!

Thanks for your support!

Many hugs,
Despina
