FNA Result

I asked here before and you have been very helpfull! Thanks so much!!

I had an FNA done and this is the result:
24.10.2010
Gross: Thyroid FNA left side
Micro: Films revealed excess colloid scattered red cells, few follicular cells with regular nuclei, very few lymphocytes. No nuclear anaplasia.
Diagnosis: Thyroid FNA: Follicular lesion, recent hemorrhage.

Do I worry about cancer? Dr says 'all is fine' and wants me to come back with THS and t4 test and U/s after 3 month.
I have a small nodule on my left thyroid, blood test 6 month ago was normal, but the Tc-Pertechnetate Thyroid Scan "Impression:
-Scintigraphically average sized diffuse thyroid gland.
-Low normal thyroid uptake for correlation with recent thyroid hormonal profile.
So I'm on eltroxin 50 every other day and the blood test was normal again.
Thanks in advance, Myam

In the U/S 7 month ago it was "The left lobe shows a small hypoechoic nodule 4mm" and last week "a small well-defined hypoechoic nodule is seen in the left thyroid lobe measuring about 5 x 3 x 6.7mm". So I guess it's still small?

I'm thinking you should be OK with that. There is not finding of abnormal pap cancer cells - BUT sometimes the FNA's are not as reliable as a true finding either.

What's the size of these nodules?
