If you start a birth control pill, talk to your endo first. Mine told me I could stop, but forgot to lower the dose of thyroid medicine and it screwed everything up. It put me in hyper mode

Thyroid meds and HBC pills have to be taken hours apart, or you could consider the patch, ring,  or IUD.

Taking any type of estrogen can cause you to need an increase in thyroid hormone meds.
