overmedicated hypothyroidsm

What is the normal TSH number for a person with hasimotos's ?  Is .65 too low?  I just has Atrial Fibrillation and the hospital said it was from my thyroid meds and lowered my synthroid from 150 to 125 every day, but my endo said it was not.  I'm confused as to where I should be now.

thanks for your help.  I am looking for a new endo.  even after my recent hospitalization and me telling him what they said (and him disagreeing) he sent me a script to check my levels and all it was for was TSH!

Yes, FT3 and FT4 are the actual thyroid hormones and they are the only things that impact how you feel.  TSH does not impact how you feel at all, it is just a reflection (and a very poor one) of what FT3 and FT4 are doing.

I wouldn't spend a moment longer with an endo who only adjusts meds by TSH.  So many factors can alter TSH besides the thyroid hormones that, in my opinion, adjusting meds on TSH alone is irresponsible.

Don't put up with a-fib and possibly being overmedicated...find a doctor who knows what he's doing.

My endo does not check my FT3 or FT4.  Could those levels impact the way I feel and if I am too hyperthyroid?

Different people feel comfortable at different levels.  If you are having hyper symptoms, then yes, it is too low for you.  However, TSH correlates very poorly with symptoms.  You should have FT3 and FT4 retested and see how they look.  A-fib is often caused by overmedication.  Your endo is wrong.
