post operative thyroid cancer

I had a bilateral thyroidectomy in june for a multi-nodule goiter.  After surgery I was told that there were 2 nodules that had papillary micro carcinoma and that the cancer was contained within the thyroid.  I received 131 radio active iodine in August.  I still feel like i have a big lump in my throat and it is very uncomfortable.  I have trouble swallowing.  the drs. seems to not be concerned but it is affecting my life.  They say in a few months if it still bothers me they will check for scar tissue  i am always uncomfortable.  I have checked many of the thyroid sights and have not seen anyone else complain about this.  Is this a common side effect

i'm in same situation as you, i was also told it was scar tissue, but when i spoke to my oncologist she told me the feeling could be made worse by being hypothyroid, have you had your levels checked recently? now my levels are creeping up the feeling isn't so bad, i just get it occasionally, ussually when i'm really tired!

I have returned to my endo complaining of this sensation and he assured me it was scar tissue. It is not there all the time but I'm not sure what aggravates it.
