Took Radioactive Iodine 5 weeks ago and worse now...Help?

Five weeks ago I decided to take the Radio-Iodine pill. I needed to do something quick as I am a single father. My numbers before the test, and after being on anti-thyroid meds.
TSH <0.01       0.35 - 4.00
T4 FREE 1.72       0.81 - 1.48

Now my numbers are:
TSH <0.01          0.35 - 4.00
T4 FREE 3.55          0.81 - 1.54

I called the doctor and tell her now I cannot even get up or down the stairs and lost 20 more pounds. She writes back sorry your not feeling well see you at your next appointment. I had to go to a walk-in to even get some ant-thyroid meds. What do I do now? I had to give my son back to my ex.

Hi!  Sorry to hear that you are struggling.  I am also on Methimazole.  I am hyper (Graves) and the Methimazole has been working fine.  After taking it, I stopped losing weight, stopped having the shakes, and my heart rate is normal.  Before that, not so much!  However, they still want me to do the RAI and I'm not agreeing to it.  Not yet, anyway.  I feel fine so why rock the boat.  Hope you get some answers, soon.

Em i do feel slightly better in health after 4 weeks, but the trouble i am getting is with my throat , the swelling has went right down but my throat is always sore ...as if sometimes i cant breath at work ..weird ...havent done a full shift in 5 weeks so its effecting my work badly , I use my voice alot at work ,in sales, so iam struggling with the discomfort in my neck, i havent found answers yet ,hoping endo will put me forward for an ultrsound so see what going on in my throat.... i lost nearly half a stone after RAI and looked terrible , i went really hyper 2 weeks after treatment , but still slightly hyper now , If my throat problem was fixed then i would be happy....with the RAI , I have never been on the meds you have , do you have any symptoms i have ????

How long did it take for you to feel anything? I was put on Beta Blockers. I had mine done almost the same time as yours. I went to the walk in last Saturday and they put me on Methimazole. After I took the RAI I lost 20 more pounds in less then two weeks. How are you doing now?

Hey , I too took it on the 22nd of July and it floored me, sounds like you are still hyper are you on beta blockers ??? they put me back on carbimazole (a light dose) as i was slighty hyper but slowly i think the RAI is working i was really ill hyper before RAI !! It gets worst before better !! I hope
