Some people have reported sucess taking T4 at night on this forum. True.

It all depends on the person. Technically T4 should not result in sudden increase of energy, since T4 is stored in your body to be converted to T3.

I asked my doc in the past about taking the levo at night and she suggested not to stating that this med gives u a burst of energy within hrs of taking it and if taken at night the energy level will drop during the day...

No Eltroxin, is a T4 med only. T4 is levothyroxine. About 90 - 95% of hypothyroid people do great on T4 only. You are taking a name brand of the most common type of thyroid med worldwide.

T3 in any form, is not available in some countries.

Very few take T4 at night. It your desicuan, it might work. Just pat attention to symptoms and take labs 6 weeks after the change.

Note to people reading this: If someone tried taking thyroid med with T3 in it at night, insomnia is likely to occur from the fast acting T3.
