Currently accepted TSH range according to AACE is 0.3-3.0. Older ranges were in the 0.5-5.0 vicinity. Either way, there is no way that a TSH of 0.8 is "a tad high". It's flat out normal to slightly on the low side.
sounds a tad high. Look up tsh charts on the web, they will tell you what is normal.
TSH of 0.8 is in the "normal" range (0.3-3.0). However, TSH is a very poor indicator of thyroid function, so unless this was a screening test, more testing is probably indicated. Do you have thyroid symptoms? Are you on thyroid meds? What prompted TSH testing? Do you have a diagnosed thyroid condition/disease?
