I Saw a so called thyroid doctor two years ago. He put me on Levothroxine I think this is how you spell it and pig thyroid. 60 mg 2x a day. Well, two years later I was fainting and anxious, grouchy and quite unhappy. I decided to see my regular M.D and she took me off the Pig thyroid but left me on the levothroxine. Now I am feeling better but gaining weight and have really tender breasts. I am wondering is this because she took me off the other drug and this is how my body is reacting or should I see another doctor? Now I am really unhappy but for other reasons. Help
You will need to have blood test done to see how you are reacting being off the "PIG" thyroid - Armour.
If you are not in a range of hormones that works for you - further adjustments on your meds may be needed.
