i have a 6mm adenoma on my pituitary gland and havent been on meds in 11 years because of the side effects and i suffered a miscarriage also....my question is can a pituitary tumor left untreated turn into hypothyroidism? i have 3/4 of ALL the symptoms of hypothyroidism....but in 2001 i had my thyroid checked and it came back normal....im very frustrated and my symptoms continue and some have worsen over the years....on top of everything else i have gained an unexplained 50lbs 14 years ago.... even though i havent changed anything .....im very active dont eat alot and have even tried straving myself about 10 years ago.....the most i have ever lost is 10 - 15lbs, but that is when im extreme(doing 3-4hours of exercise time a day and no more than 1000 calories consumed for 2 months straight) That gets old so now I just live with the joint pain, extreme fatigue, no menstrual cycle for 14 years, dry patching skin, bruise easily, headaches, heart racing, tight throat feeling...like someone has their hands on my neck, and brain fog. Getting ready to take a chance to go back to the doctor and have my levels checked. I have no insurance so im going to the local health clinic where they charge u on a sliding scale fee.
