thyroid helath

i have been diagnosed with  graves disease recently, and did a lot of reasearch on it, and found out  with this illnnes i lost lot of muscle mass. my question is that can i exercise and reverse the muscle damage? or is this illness responsive to exercise? please help

thanks alot. this is very helpfeul, i have to  see my doc to see if my  thyrtoid hormones  levels are normal.

In order to get thing back as they were you have to level out the thyroid levels to more-normal state prior to getting the tone back.

In Graves disease with the high levels of hormone in your body it will take away the muscle build.

And to exercise thinking that will build it back - prior to getting stabilized, the body can under go exhaustion in other things that can worsen you.

Depending how far off you are in the Graves is important to know - to follow instructions on how much you need to do to suppress the over function.
