I would start with the 50mcg and then re test after 6 weeks.
I remember it took me a year to finally get my dosage correct. I stayed on same dosage for 10yrs, then out of the blue went hyper, thus began the dosage decrease for the next 3yrs. I have been lucky for the past 1yr I have remained on the same dose.
I don't get any symptoms that are bothersome, and if I do I guess I am just used to them so they don't bother me.
My doc has aggressively bumped me every 3-4 weeks, but we are all different. If you have sensitivity to the med increase, then go 50.
My endo gave me sample boxes of 100 and 112. He said to try the 100 and if it didn't do much, to jump to 112. He's very liberal with giving out the drugs! Most drug companies give endos plenty of these sample boxes. Tell your endo to prescribe you 50, but to give you a sample of 62. Take the 50s, and it they don't do much, try the sample, then give doc a call for a new subscription if the sample works.

I am sensitive to meds and each increase has been slowly.
I started on 25mcg thyroxin daily then went to 62.mcg daily then went to 75mcg daily then WHAMM!
I went hyper again.
So then I was dosed at:
50mcg = mon, wed, fri, sun
As each fortnight went past the dose was increased by 12.5mcg a week.
I went to 62.5mcg 7 days a week eventually only to find hyper symptoms again.
So I am currently on 62.5mcg Mon, Wed, Thurs, Sat, Sun and 50mcg on the other days.
I have found this to be my 'balance'.
This is 'tweaking and the best thing to do is 'log' all your symptoms and dosages daily then you can look back on the notebook and see what symptoms you had and what dose and get a rough idea of just how much you should be taking.
Hope that helps.
