Thank you for your comments they are very appreciated and will ask for another blood draw with Free T3 and ask to increase dosage as well. I feel good except that I am tired and my hair loss, perhaps due to my healthy lifestyle which I think plays a huge role...diet and exercise. That helps but correct med dosage is essential and will work with my Dr.
Total T3 is an outdated/obsolete test of little value. you really need to demand that you be tested for FREE T3.
But given the tests that you have, it appears that you are very low in the range of both, and your symptoms are consistent with being Hypo. You need a dosage increase.
the TSH is suppressed due to the fact that you are taking Armour so TSH is completely useless test at this point.
Also try to remember NOT to take your Armour dose before you get blood drawn. As the T3 gets into your blood fast so the test would not necessarily reflect your true level of FT3 if you take the medicine before the blood is drawn as it would be artificially high due to having taken it.
I am hypo and just have a total T3 of 82, free T4 of 1.1, TSH 0.03 for blood work.
I take 1.5 mg of Armour in the morning and 0.5 in the afternoon.
Reference range for Free T4 is 0.8-1.8
Reference range for Total T3 is76-181
What are the reference ranges for the Free T4 and Total T3? Do you have a Free T3 result? Both your FT4 and TT3 look to be quite low, indicating that you might be slightly hypo, not hyper, even though your TSH is very low, which is common when one is on a medication with T3 in it.
Hair loss is definitely a symptom of being hypo, as well as other things.
Please clarify your med dosage. Are you taking 1.5 grains of Armour in the morning and 0.5 grain in the afternoon, for a total of 120 mg/day?
Bupropion lists hair loss as a possible side effect. Do you have any other symptoms of hyperthyroidism such as increased heart rate, sweating etc?
