Thyroid nodule and swollen hands

I was diagnosed with thyroid disorder 2 months ago, underwent ultra sound, FNA, bloodtest, and now awaiting next consultation with the doctor.  Just forgot to inform the doctor, that since i notice the lump in my neck, at about the same time, my hands were also blotted.  Is this related to the thyroid condition?  I do not seem to have any typical thyroid symptons other than noticing the firm lump in my throat, about 3 cm on the outside.

Came back with the diagnosis today, growth cells is bengin, T4 is high 14.9, TSH 6.0-6.1.  They more or less confirm its hypothroism.  Its a relief.
