thyroid overdose

I have been taking Levothyroxine about 8 years.  Two years ago a nurse practioner increased my dosage from 50mg. to 150 mg.  This caused my heart to start pounding  day and night and espically at nught.  It has been a little over two years and I still have problems romthis. How long will this last and will it ever completely clear up?

.....to determine how much thyroxin you need. Sounds like you are HYPER and this can be dangerous if it continues.
Let us know how you go.

That is an incredible increase. I wouldve killed my doctor! Yes, I believe it takes six weeks after for your body to readjust to doseages. If your still having a pounding heart beat I would have your levels checked again. You may need to go down. But have blood tests
