It's too bad the President of Argentina has thyroid cancer and must have her thyroid removed, but as you both say, any difficulties she encounters may benefit many on this forum.

That said, I wish her all the best.

hi. the reason i posted the info on the president of argentina's thyroid removal was because i hoped, in some way, as you mention, it might be of help to us on this forum.  if she runs into problems like we have, which of course i hope she doesn't, maybe some knowledge will come out of her experience that will be beneficial to our hypothyroid community.

i intend to follow her recovery.

I also hate to hear of anyone suffering from anything, much less thyroid problems.   However, wouldn't it be interesting if she runs into the same problems so many of us have gone through due to inadequate testing and treatment from a doctor.   By the time she found a good thyroid doctor who treats hypo patients clinically, she might fully appreciate what so many hypothyroid patients go through, and give marching orders to the medical community to change their treatment protocol.  That could benefit huge numbers of her fellow countrymen.  Wouldn't we all be willing to suffer a little if it was for the greater good?   LOL
