I wouldnt risk waiting as the cells can multiply pretty fast.
I would go ahead with the surgery or if not sure, get a 2nd opinion.

Thanks for your reply.. Yes they have now told me that the cells are follicular cells with some pleomorphism and that thyroid cancer cant be excluded. They have offered right total thyroid lobectomy and isthmusectomy.
You can watch and wait, what kind of suspicious...did they say which type of cells they found? Thyroid cancer usually grows slowly so you can wait 6 months and so another FNA, they may find something different. Really, though, no real way to know until the thyroid comes out. I had "benign follicular clusters" and still had cancer. They said the same thing, we can't really know for sure until it comes out, and they were right.
