Sounds like the 125mcgs might be too high for you.
Do you have any recent blood testing done?
TSH, Free T4, Free T3. Plus the reference ranges. These can be helpful to see if you are on too much.
If you lower your dose prior to having blood testing done, you won't know if the previous dose was too high. Best to get testing first. One step at a time!
Hi all,
I am having the same problem. However, I have had some help in trying to understand what is happening to me. Thyroid was removed 9/10. Severe hair loss and thinning, dry hands, feet, severe scalp itch, heart thumping, sweats upon awakening, and during the day sometimes. I could go on but what's the use. Oh, I must not forget the foggy brain. Anyway, I found when my TSH was 1.25, I felt the worst. Felt better when meds were raised to 100 and TSH fell to 0.9. However, this did not last, she put me back on 88 mcq levo and I am now feeling lousy again. Today, I fired her. I am being told by too many people to count that I need T2 added to my T4 to balance everything out. After all, this is what our own thyroid produced. She is too conventional and will not add T3 to my T4. My health is just too important to stick with someone who is so closed minded. The thing that I will suggest is that you not adjust your meds yourself. Find a doctor who will monitor and adjust your meds according to your complaints. You never said what your numbers are. Are you having blood tests done before you change your meds?
