I've been taking Synthroid for years and my hair has been falling out for the last 4 or 5 months. What should I do? Should I change medication?

When you get your lab report, be sure to get reference ranges along with results. Ranges vary from lab to lab so have to come from your own lab report.

I'm taking synthroid 100 mg a day. Don't know what the lab report says but will find out. I do have rough itchy skin. Don't know if that is a symptom or not. My head also itches. My Dermatologist recommended Selson Blue to shampoo my hair. My age is 81.
