I posted on your other thread, in which you had your results. Weight is a tough issue for many of us who have Hashi's/hypo. I was not able to lose any weight at all until my FT3 got to around mid range, but I still have to work at it, so your diet and exercise are going to have a large bearing on whether or not you lose weight.
Thyroxine IS a T4 med.
oh i excercise lots, now i take levothyroxine and my diet is healthy im normally really active and fit just my body doesnt reflect thet anymore thanx for answer
My body doesn't reflect my exercise or good eating habits the way I'd like it to either. That just means I have to work doubly hard......

hi barb so if i was already taking thyroxine why did my new doctor give me same thing the first one i had was thyrohormone and now its levothyroxine you said both t4 meds but the new doctor told me that the old one was giving me the wrong meds dont get it so much to learn and remember at least ill be prepared better for my next appointment was lookin at previous blood test and my t3 is never high so im thinkin of askin for t3 and t4 next time.also i have been really constipated now since this all started does that stop me from losing weight.
You need to get tested for both Free T3 and Free T4. T3 is much more potent than T4; therefore, you must be very careful with T3 med as it can make you hyper very quickly.
