worried about post TT surgery

I just had my TT on Friday and yesterday my head and arms felt as if they was asleep?.....I've been taking the calcium suplements but it doesnt seem to be working.. the only relief is sleep? any ideas?...before I left the hospital on Sat the doctor said my calcium levels were fine and to be on the look out for numbness around my lips and fingers but this is all asleep feeling is all over my body ...just a wierd feeling...

I am *SO* glad you are okay.  I was really worried when we didn't hear back from you right away.  I'm glad you went to the hospital - the calcium thing is nothing to mess with.

Thanks to all your timely responses... It was low calcium and after 36 hours back in the hospital all is well....I now feel great. Just waiting on the next phase of the treatment..thanks again..

I third that.  My calcium levels dropped so low my hands cramped up and I couldn't even pick up a plastic cup a few days after TT.  Did some research in one of my nurse's med journal and found out hypocalcemia can lead to convulsions and cause you to stop breathing if left untreated.

I'll second that - go to the ER and tell them to check your calicum and that you just had a TT

i was told ANY NUMBNESS AND GO TO THE ER!
