Tourette's possibly

My son is 5 years old. Here recently we have noticed that when he eats or sometimes anytime he makes this noise with his mouth. Like a small sighing but  with his mouth closed. I am unsure if it is Tourette's or not. When you ask him to stop he says ok but then he never does. No matter how many times you tell him too he says he can't after you tell him a few times. I don't know what else to think it is. Help.

I had a son with Tourette. Reading your post brought back so many memories, this one in particular. My son used to smell absolutely everything before he would put it in his mouth. He also, couldn't help himself to stop. I think there's a strong possibility of Tourette. I haven't told anyone but I have a lot of experience when it comes to raising a child with Tourette's Syndrome. Please don't hesitate to drop me a note or message if you want to ask something

Oh, I feel for you. I was just reading on another site, NOT to tell them to stop because they can't! My 11 yr old son has had tics for years. His latest one is SOO annoying because he is constantly squeaking!!  The more we tell him to stop, the more he squeeks. I wish I KNEW what to do!!
