Is there an answer?

my sister has been acting weird lately. she is a 21 year old mother of 1 child who is almost 2. she has been what i would call "spacie" her whole life but recently its been more noticeable as a problem not a blonde thing. we were cleaning our house and everyone was pitching in, my sister was found in the hallway staring with a blank expression on her face at a wall for 15 mins this was timed. She did not twitch in anyway or shake or change breathing she was simply standing there normally so it seemed. when I told her about it she had no idea she had done that at all. ive also cought her talking to herself and asked "sorry what did you say?" numerous times and she had no idea she was talking at all. im going to take her into see her dr. since we live together and im concearned these episodes could lead to some kind of accident for her or someone else  im wondering what any of these things could be pointing to everything specific that i should maybe bring up to her and her dr. everything ive looked up doesnt quite fit for her that and our dr isnt really the investigative type she would say "its perfectly normal and take tylenol." I do have one thing to add tho before any kind of hypothesis is reached.  when she was born she could not breathe as in she didnt know how to. the dr she had spent 3 hours teaching her how to breathe. also about 1-2 years old she was a SIDS baby by that i mean my grandmother found her mid day napping and she was blue not breathing and heart stopped. my grandmother is a cna and knew to give her cpr which worked obviously and she seemed normal but noone in my family knows just how long she had stopped breathing for and she was never taken in for medical care over the ordeal. and that is all, any feedback is greatly appriciated!

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
I think your sister suffers from complex partial seizures. Staring for sometime (almost statue like) and stopping breathing for a few seconds are part of it. EEG of brain and neurology consult is a must. Take care!

I would take her in to see a neurologist. She may (I am only a layman guessing) having seizures as they come in all shapes and sizes. Get her to a doc for testing asap.
