A white flash when I close my eyes

Hey all sorry for not being on here.  Here's the skinny.  For the past couple months,  I would go to sleep at night and close my eyes I will be laying there for like 5 min and while my eyes are closed, it looks like headlights passing my window right in my face thing is, I am on a second floor, also the way my place is, no car could get their headlights to go past my window.  What is causing these white flashes when I go to sleep?  Is it because I am tired? Or is it because I look at my computer screen alot?  I tried to research it but it just sends me to a paranormal blog LoL.  Someone, let me know what this is because I am so scared on what this could be. If this helps at all,  I had a bad head injury about 3 years ago but this didnt start until 6 months ago so I am just concerned.

Thats odd.  Mine is just a quick white flash.  Kind of like a light show it happens fast.  What else is puzzling is I take a while to get to sleep so I am not falling asleep when this happens its like my eyes are trying to adjust to something and its malfunctioning lol.  Thank you

The white flashes may be a Hypnogaugic Hallucination. It is when your brain sees something that is not there as you are falling asleep. I get those a lot, usually in the form of a spider or some other critter on my bed. It is nothing to be alarmed over.
