My question is about whether I really need to go in to see the doctor. About 3 weeks ago I fell and hit my head. I have no memory of the fall itself or how it happened, but can only suppose that I tripped. A friend and I had been drinking and she had dropped me off at home. There are some twists and turns to navigate to reach my bedroom and I remember having both hands full. I woke up on the floor about 6 feet from where I remember last and was throwing up. I was very confused and kept telling my body to move, but for a while it just wouldn't. I don't know how long it was, but I did get to my bed finally. The blow to my head was just over the inside of my right eye on the brow-line. My eye swelled significantly, headache, nausea, but I attributed all some of this to having too much wine. I'm having persistent burning & aching pain from my hairline above my right temple and slightly angled down toward my inner eyebrow. I've had some brief periods, off days or hours, where I feel a bit "dim." When you know a word, but can't come up with it, or lose your train of thought. I didn't go to the doctor because I'm still paying off bills from a previous illness, but now I'm starting to worry. I'm 50 year old and woman and am in otherwise relatively good health. There is still some slight swelling on my forehead over the brow, but it burns all the time.
Any help would be appreciated. If I don't need to create more medical debt for myself, I'd prefer not to.
Thank you
